North America
Canada: has invested strongly create a robust research and development (R&D) climate, ranging from pharmaceuticals to fuel cells to information and communications technologies. It is known for its leadership in industries such as fibre optics, aerospace and bio-pharmaceuticals.
The Economist Intelligence Unit forecasts Canada as the number one place to do business in the G7 for the next five years (2009), and in 2010 ranked Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary within the top five most-liveable cities in the world.
Canada is rich in natural resources, enjoys a well-skilled workforce, with exceptional access to North American (USA) and Asia-Pacific markets.
Mexico: is the largest trading nation in Latin America. A member of the North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) which, combined with Canada and the USA, is one of the largest trade blocs in the world.
Mexico also enjoys a Free Trade Agreement with the EU. Recent liberalization programs delivered a framework for opening-up trade in agriculture, services, and foreign direct investment. Mexico is transitioning from the traditional basic-assembly plant economy into more sophisticated engineering & assembly, ICT, research & development, and the creative industries.
USA: the world’s largest economy. Freedom within the private sector, low levels of regulation & government intervention, a high level of research & development and a large mobile skilled workforce makes the USA a rewarding place to do business.
